Static Contacts
The use of metal graphite materials has become popular in static charging contacts, Helwig’s metal graphite materials have specific ingredients and formulations to allow for very low resistivity transmission of electrical charges between two stationary surfaces without micro welding. Regular metal materials are subject to micro welding during charging, which causes damage to both contact surfaces. Helwig metal graphite materials do not have this issue due to the graphite and other ingredients that prevent welding of the two surfaces from occurring.
