Protect chillers, fan walls, rooftop motors, boilers, and other HVAC equipment driven by VFDs from bearing damaging electrical discharge with BPK Shaft Grounding. Easy-to-install, maintenance-free BPKs provide exceptional protection for 10+ years. Plus, one size fits many shaft diameters, simplifying your inventory. Available for aftermarket installation or request from motor OEM.

As VFDs become standard in pump systems, protecting electric motor bearings from VFD-induced damage is no longer optional. Helwig’s long-lasting, maintenance-free, easy-to-install BPK Shaft Grounding protects pumps–including submersible pumps–with compact design for tight spaces and close-coupled pump motors. Internal mount options available.

Protect your wind generator main bearings from electrical discharge that can cause white etching cracks (WEC) and premature bearing failure. The BPK-AM comes preinstalled on a ready-made bracket for easy installation in the field. Off-the-shelf tower kits are available for Siemens-Gamesa and GE 2X platforms. Custom designs are also available.

EV inverters convert DC to AC power, but electrical discharge that damages bearings and causes Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is a byproduct. Ceramic bearings aren’t enough. Custom-engineered BPK Shaft Grounding kits provide optimal automotive grounding with extra long life in contaminated environments, handling RPMs from 10,000 to 20,000. Our silver graphite brushes have a cleaning property that, when combined with a constant force spring, provide a contaminant-free brush track for optimal shaft grounding.
